Citizens Of The World.

Olivia's wearing: Nicholas knit, Shakuhachi jacket, Alexander Wang bag, Subtitled pants,
YSL ring, Hermes bracelet, Witchery shoes, Karen Walker sunglasses.

I got photographed by an awesome street style blog called Citizens of the World when I was in Melbourne. As silly as it may sound, getting snapped by a street style blog was actually something on my bucket list, although I don't really have a complete list. We're such huge fans of street style photography because it captures so much personality and the streets are the place where you see the best fashion in our opinion. I hope I'm lucky enough to get snapped by a huge street style blog like Stockholm Street Style or The Sartorialist one day, that would be absolutely awesome.

Audrey.

Kate's wearing: Olivia's Nicholas jumper, J Brand coated jeans, Dotti blouse, Celine Audrey sunglasses,
Hermes bracelet, Michael Kors watch, Country Road loafers, Kit nail polish.

We went a little bit overboard with this post (as you can probably see), we just couldn't decide between all the photos because there's so many pieces in this outfit that we wanted to focus on. I (Olivia) couldn't resist getting another neon Nicholas jumper when I was Melbourne and can you blame me?! I love the vibrant, pink hue of this one and the unbelievably soft angora fabric; I can't wait to wear them both through out winter, I wish it was colder already!

These Audrey sunglasses by Celine are something that Kate's been eyeing off for so long now after seeing them on countless bloggers and celebrities. They are such timeless sunglasses and we love the fact that they are only slightly cat-eye shaped; now we can see why Rumi and Chiara have them in both tortoiseshell and black. They are actually quite large in person, but that's one of the things we love about them - they make such a statement. It finally seems like we're starting to get some of the things we've had on our wish lists for what seems like forever, but just as we think we're satisfied, we find new things to add to list, I'm sure you can all relate to that feeling...

Up For It.

Olivia's wearing: Nicholas knit, Sass and Bide Up For It jeans, Yves Saint Laurent ring, Hermes bracelet, Witchery shoes.

My jaw pretty much dropped to the floor when I saw this neon Nicholas knit on Green With Envy's Instagram. There are definitely perks to following some of your favourite designers and boutiques on Instagram, I wouldn't say it's good for my bank account though... I was lucky enough to go to Melbourne for the weekend for my birthday and it just so happened that this beautiful knit came in store the day I arrived, so of course I couldn't resist. These amazing Sass and Bide pants were another gift I received for my birthday. I love buying pieces every so often that are a bit kooky and aren't something that everyone would wear - these pants are definitely one of those things. This is probably one of the funkiest outfits I've ever put together, but I actually love it. It's nice to jump outside your comfort zone every so often...

Clic-Clac.

We finally got an Hermes Clic-Clic bracelet for our birthday, it's something that we have had our eye on for months now. They are such a must-have accessory in our opinion and although they are expensive, we know they will be a great investment because they're so simple and classic and they can be incorporated into any outfit. Of course I had to get the orange because I'm so obsessed with this colour, whereas Kate opted for the white because it's so fresh and versatile. Expect to see a million photos of these beauties on our blog in the future.

Seeing Spots.

Kate's wearing: Current/Elliott polka dot jeans, Dotti blouse, Michael Kors watch, 2 Baia Vista shoes.

I fell in love with these beige, polka dot jeans the minute I saw them on one of my favourite blogs, Song of Style. I love the neutral colour of them because you can pair with them both plain, crisp colours and also bright, neon colours. I'm not usually a huge fan of patterns with spots because they're often too over-the-top, but I instantly loved these jeans because I knew they could become a versatile staple in my winter wardrobe. I'm looking forward to experimenting with them in the coming months...

Rebellion Rose.

Kate's wearing: Zimmermann Rebellion Rose tank, J Brand shorts, Yves Saint Laurent ring,
Michael Kors watch, 2 Baia Vista sandals.

A good print is hard to find, especially floral ones; we love this Zimmermann rose print because it has a vintage feel to it, yet it's timeless and understated. We love mixing neon pieces with just about any colours or patterns at the moment (as you can probably tell); it adds such a vibrant pop to an outfit, which is perfect for the cool, winter months ahead. It's funny watching trends come and go, only a few months ago neon colours were reserved for the cheesy bracelets you win in coin machines and costumes you wear to 80's themed dress-up parties. Expect to see a lot more neon pieces appearing in our posts in the coming months - next on our list in a neon knit.

Make A Wish.

There's nothing better than when your favourite label (Sass and Bide) brings out neon star necklaces that not only look great, but all proceeds go to a worthy cause. I was already contemplating purchasing all three colours and then when I found out that the necklaces were for the Make A Wish foundation my mind was made up.

Circular.

Olivia's wearing: Zimmermann leotard, American Apparel skirt, Karen Walker sunglasses, Sportsgirl necklace,
Country Road wedges, Nixon watch, Yves Saint Laurent ring, Kit nail polish.

Corduroy is a fabric that I usually don't like because it reminds me of fashion disasters from my childhood and bad, impulsive op shop buys; but I had to make an exception for this American Apparel circle skirt. I love the feminine structure of it and the vintage cream hue, I knew it would be a great addition to my growing range of basics, so I got a navy one as well and I haven't regretted the decision one bit.

This black Yves Saint Laurent ring is a fine example and constant reminder of our poor blogger status. I got this ring as a gift for Christmas and told myself that we would include it in a blog post soon after... it's now May and it's only just made its first appearance. It's our 20th birthday next weekend (which we aren't too happy about), but one bonus is that we will have new pieces to feature in upcoming posts - stay tuned.

MBFWA.

Photos by Tommy Ton from style.com

I contemplated deleting (or at least boycotting) Instagram many times last week, as I was continuously exposed to photos from MBFWA. As much as I love seeing candid shots of the shows and my favourite bloggers, it made me insanely jealous and slightly depressed. On a happier note, I think the fashion was amazing, both on the runway and off. I think it's great that so many international bloggers and fashion commentators came over for the event and spoke so highly of it. I hope I'm fortunate enough to attend next year...
